Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashram, Netaji Colony, Bhadrawati-442902 Dist: Chandrapur Maharashtra (India) (earlier known as Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Shikshan Seva Samiti) is a charitable Philanthropic Organisation. This is a spiritual and service oriented organisation. It has played a very vital role in spreading and propagating the massage of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda-Vedanta literature in and around Bhadrawati area and in Gadchiroli District.
This Sevashram is a member of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Parishad, Maharashtra under the guidance of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal, India. Now a days, the activities of this Ashram have been expanded imparting value based education and spiritual services to the nearby communities.


The aims and ideals of the Ashram are purely spiritual and humanitarian and has no connection with politics. Swami Vivekananda proclaimed that the “Renunciation and Service” as the two fold national ideals of modern India and the work of the Ashram strives to practices these ideals. The service activities are based on the massage of Sri Ramakrishna- “Shiva Bhave Jiva Seva” and Swami Vivekananda’s massage “Daridra Narayana Seva” to indicate that Service to the Poor is the Service to God. The Principals of Upanishad and Yoga in Bhagavad Gita are reinterpreted in the light of Life and Teachings of Holy Trio, is the main source of inspiration for the Ashram. The service activities are based on the massage of Sri Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. The Service activities are rendered looking upon all as veritable manifestation of the Divine.

History Of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashram

Inspiration from Srimat Swami Brahmasthanandaji Maharaj, then Adhyaksha Ramakrishna Math, Nagpur, Srimat Swami Sujayanandaji Maharaj, Srimat Swami Jyotihswarupanandaji Maharaj of Nagpur Math this Ashram was started initially as Ramakrishna Vivekananda Shikshan Seva Samiti in September-1991.

This Ashram was Registered in the name of above Samiti in the year 1991 with the Charitable Commissioner, Chandrapur. The Registration Number is F-3486 Chandrapur. In 1992, on the auspicious occasion of Birthday celebration of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, this Samiti has started its daily worship in a small rented house. Shrine was shifted in the new temple in 2005.
